Dr. Athanase Lavidas
Chairman & CEO

Born in Athens, Dr. Athanase Lavidas assumed the management of Lavipharm Group in 1976. He is the Chairman of the Greece-United States Business Council and member of the Board of Directors of many bilateral councils, whose mission is to strengthen the business ties between Greece and the corresponding countries. He is also Chairman Emeritus of the Hellenic Entrepreneurs Association (E.EN.E.). Moreover, Dr. Lavidas is Vice Chairman of the Board of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) and member of the Board of Directors since 2000, while he is Head of the Federation’s International Affairs.

He holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Athens, MSc and BSc of Science in Chemistry from the Ludwig Maximillian University of Munich and an MBA from the Institut Superieur de Marketing et de Management of Paris.

Spyridon Fotinos, son of Apostolos
Executive Vice President, Corporate Research and Innovation

Born in Athens, he holds a Bsc in Pharmacy from the University of Athens and a Bsc in Chemistry from the University of Thessalonica. He started his career as Planning & Projects Manager with MINERVA Pharmaceuticals. He joined Lavipharm in 1979 as Plant and Technical Director and set up the production unit for pharmaceutical & cosmetic Products. In 1987 he set up the Research & Development Department. He is currently the Executive Vice President for Corporate Research & Innovation.

Chris Maniatis
Group CFO
Chris Maniatis lived many years abroad, where he worked in large international companies. Returning to Greece, he joined Agrotech, a subsidiary of the ATE Group; the last ten years, he was working for Interamerican where he assumed the position of the Group's CFO.
He holds an MBA from Harvard University, USA and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Witwatersrand University, South Africa.



Tania Vranopoulos
Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Lavipharm Group

Born in Athens, she studied Economics at the London School of Economics and Business Administration (MBA) at INSEAD. She started her career at the Marketing Department of Johnson & Johnson Hellas and joined Lavipharm in 1987 as Marketing Director for Cosmetics. In 1990 she became Marketing & Business Development Director, mainly in charge of the Group's international operations. In 1994 she became Director for Licensing & Corporate Affairs and in 1998 she was promoted to Executive Vice-President for Corporate Affairs & Business Development. Since 2002 and until 2007 she was Chief Operating Officer. Currently she has assumed the responsibility of Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

Yannis Alexiadis
Finance Manager

Born in Xanthi, he studied Economics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He started his career at the Accounts & Credit Control Department of DRITSAS S.A., representatives of Nestle in Greece. He went on to the Greek subsidiary of Nestle SOPRAL S.A. as Chief of the Accounts Department and Head of Internal Audit. In 1995, he was promoted to Director of Fund Management and coordinated various restructuring projects. He joined Lavipharm in September of 1998 as Group Finance Director Greece. Since October 2003 and until January 2006 he worked as Business Advisor in many companies integrating, reconstructing and installing M.I.S. systems. He joined Lavipharm at February 2006 as Finance Manager.

Stavros Cambanis
Group Quality Director & Qualified Person (QP)
Lavipharm SA

Born in Athens, he studied Chemistry and received his PhD from the University of Thessalonika. Between 1990 and 2000 he worked with S.C. Johnson & Son, initially as Senior Chemist in the R&D and Quality Assurance Departments and later as Development and Quality Assurance Manager. He has held his current position with Lavipharm S.Á. since February 2000.


Amanda Christodoulopoulou
Group Purchasing and Customer Service Director

Born in Aegio, she grew up in Melbourne, Australia. She holds an Economics degree from the University of Piraeus.
She started her carrier at Lavipharm S.A. in 1976 as Import Supervisor, while at the same time she worked as Secretary of today's CEO and Chairman of the Group. In 1986 she was promoted to Import - Export Director and one year later she took on the responsibility of the Purchasing Department for the Greek market. In addition she is responsible for the Lavipharm Exports Customer Service.

Katerina Fragioudakis
Executive Assistant to the Chairman
Head of Corporate Communications

Born in Athens, she holds a BA in French Language and Literature from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens and an MBA from the Athens Laboratory of Business Administration. She began her business career in 1993, while studying at the University, at Á.Á. PETZETAKIS S.A. In 1997, she joined LAVIPHARM as Personal Assistant to the Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Business Development. In 2001, she was promoted ôï Executive Assistant to the Chairman. Since 2004, she is also responsible for managing the Corporate Communications Department.


George Gemelos
Internal Audit Manager

Born in Athens, he studied Accounting at the Technological Institute of Piraeus. He has received a Master in International Accounting & Financial Management from the Glasgow University. He is a Certified Internal Auditor by the American Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and a Certified Accounting Technician by the Association of Certified and Chartered Accountants (ACCA). He has received a specialization in Strategic Negotiations from Harvard Business School.
He has worked at Cosmote's Internal Audit Department as a Senior Auditor. Also he has worked in Greece and Great Britain in the auditing companies Andersen, PWC and Harwarth International.
He is a member of the American Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and of the Greek Institute of Internal Auditors (EIEE).


Vasilios Grafakos
Lavipharm Active Services CEO

Born in Athens, he studied chemistry at the University of Athens. He holds an MSc from the East Anglia University at Norwich and a Business Administration Degree from the Wharton School of Pennsylvania University. He started his career at Lavipharm S.A. in 1978 as Quality Assurance Executive and subsequently he became Plant Director until 1993. In 1994, he assumed the responsibilities of establishing Lavipharm Alliance Santé as a General Director until 2001. In 2001, he took charge of the activities of the Group at Cyprus where he remained until 2004. In 2005, he became CEO of Lavipharm Active Services.


Panayotis Kousoulis
Group Plant Director

Born in Elika, Lakonia, he studied Chemical Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He began his career as Production Engineer and subsequently Supervisor at Liquid Carbonic Corp. He went on to take charge of Processes in 1982-1992 and was promoted to Production Manager at Nepera Chemicals in 1992. In 1994 he was hired as Factory Manager by Kendal Pharmaceuticals in Massachussets, USA, and in 1999 he joined Lavipharm at his current position.



Helen Moriati
Group Financial Controlling and Analysis Manager
Lavipharm SA

Born in Sparta of Laconia, she studied Business Administration (BA) at the University of Piraeus. She has also studied Computer Programming.
She has 15 years of experience as Financial Analyst and Chief Accountant at Gallaher Hellas SA, A. Tatsoulis SA and P. Katsafanas SA. She joined Lavipharm in 1998 as Controller. In 2002 she was promoted to Chief Controller and since October 2003 she holds her present position.


Panagiotis Pavlou
Accounting Manager Lavipharm Group

Born in Corinth, he graduated from the University of Piraeus with a Bachelor in Business Administration. He started his career at the Accounting Department of Schering Plough Hellas SA in 1978. In 1983, he was promoted to Accounting Executive and in 1994 he became Budget Control & Financial Analysis Manager. He joined Lavipharm in 1996 as an Accounting Executive of the subsidiary Lavipharm Hellas. Since November 1998, he is Accounting Manager of Lavipharm Group.


Ioanna Tsireka
Human Resources Director
Lavipharm SA

Ms. Ioanna Tsireka holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the American College of Greece (Deree College) and MSc in Organizational Health from the University of Nottingham. She has worked in both Greek and international companies of different sectors, such as KPMG and TASTY FOODS. Since February 2007, she held the position of Human Resources Director of SATO Group. Ms. Tsireka assumed the position of Human Resources Director of Lavipharm Group of Companies in November 2009.


Vasilis Vasilakopoulos
IT Manager, Lavipharm Group
Lavipharm SA

Born in Athens, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Economic University of Athens. He has an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management of Erasmus University in Holland. He has five years of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) implementations experience in Oracle Applications at industrial and commercial enterprises in various Western European countries. He joined Lavipharm in May 2002.
